Bandship exists to support the working musician. We provide practical, affordable, and personalized services that help bands rehearse, record, organize, market, and thrive. Bandship is the crew behind the music — the anchor support system for the loud and passionate.
We work with solo musicians, bands of all genres, sound engineers, venue managers, marketing strategists, and all points in between.
SERVICES
Bandship is a multi-functional musician support service offering rehearsal and recording space, mixing services, musician hiring, booking assistance, marketing options, and operational help for bands and independent musicians. Rooted in community and shaped by firsthand experience in the music world, Bandship aims to make the offstage logistics of being a musician or band more manageable, collaborative, and fun.

REHEARSE + RECORD
With our humble warehouse space located in Downers Grove, IL, we can provide a fully equipped stage with lighting and sound to practice with your band. Each session will include a dedicated sound engineer and the opportunity to record and mix your sessions.

ORGANIZE + MARKET
We are focused on getting musicians up and running in the gig world. We can create marketing tools, manage social engagement, respond and inquire on your behalf, and run the ship behind the scenes so you can focus on the most important part - making music.

SOUND + SUPPORT
Multiple options for PA systems and live sound services are available. You can hire a sound engineer in a dedicated venue, or we can provide a full sound system for your event. We will also provide onsite and backend support for your music, even providing musicians for you and recording + mixing your show.

PRICING
Much of our pricing structure is customizable and adjustable based on the situation, needs, and level of involvement. Below is a baseline to understand where some of the pricing may fall, but always feel free to inquire further for items you do not see below or for customization options.
Unless otherwise noted all pricing listed below is a "Starting From..." amount and may increase from there.
STUDIO SESSION
Includes dedicated sound engineer to manage your session*, full sound system, comprehensive sound check, and unfiltered "playground" time to make music as you wish - you can play a full live set, track song by song, take as many or as little breaks as you want, etc. Each session is fully multi-track recorded via Behringer X32 input into Logic Pro, and the recording will run from your session start to your end time. After the session you will be provided with raw stems for each mic/instrument as well as an unmixed .wav recording of the entire session.
Also includes light beverages and snacks.
$50 / hr.
*At this time, we do not offer unsupervised sessions.
MIXING
Options available to mix either your session from our studio, or to provide your own recordings for us to mix.

MASTERING
Options available to master either your session from our studio, or to provide your own recordings for us to master.

SOUND + PRODUCTION
Multiple options available for different levels of engineering and gear required. This section is highly customizable, but below are a few base level options to start from. All prices are starting points.

No additional equipment provided. Sound engineer will arrive at your requested location and use only the gear available at that space.

No additional equipment provided. Sound engineer will arrive at your requested location and use only the gear available at that space.

• SMALL PA + ENGINEER •
Small space / limited attendees. Provide a small PA system (column or single box) plus 1-2 stage monitors, arrive 2-3 hours before for full setup, house music provided.
Includes multitrack raw stems and unmixed recording of show.
$200 / 3 hours playing
• MEDIUM-SIZE SYSTEM + ENGINEER •
Provide a medium-sized sound system with at least 2 main speakers and up to 4 monitors, arrive 3-4 hours before for full setup, house music provided.
Includes multitrack raw stems and unmixed recording of show.
$350 / 3 hours playing
• LARGE-SIZE SYSTEM + ENGINEER •
Provide a larger-sized sound system with at least 2 main speakers, 1 subwoofer, and up to 6 monitors. Arrive 4-5 hours before for full setup, house music provided.

$500 / 3 hours playing
